Camelot Theme Park of England – Perfect for Groups and Families
Situated in the Charnock Richard town of Lancashire, the Camelot Theme Park is a resort cum theme park inspired by the Camelot tale. Owned by the Story Group and managed by the Knights Leisure Limited, the park offers over 25 attractions including 5 roller coasters and water rides. With the induction of roller coasters, the park showers more fun and excitement on those who are crazy behind trying these adventurous rides. Even its slogan is quite adventurous – 'The land of great knights, and amazing days'. For children and adults who are not so mad about coasters, there are various other exhilarating rides as well. Main RidesTo know these, we (I and my family) first had to know about the eight realms. These are Main Street, U.S.A offering the Midwest childhood town of Walt Disney, Adventureland full of forest escapade, Frontierland exhibiting the western frontier, Fantasyland featuring many whimsy rides, Tomorrowland taking you into the future, New Orleans Square dedicated to New Orleans of the 19th century, Critter Country, and Mickey's Toontown. Listed below are the major rides in each of these realms.
Other AttractionsYou can take pleasure in go karts with an additional cost or explore the Merlin's Indoor Playland. In addition, if you are tired of walking in the Camelot theme park, the Playland Express, a train, can take you anywhere in the park. Besides these highlights, there are currently three shows held at the park namely, the Jousting Tournament, Merlin's Magic Show, and Merlin's School of Wizardry. The Jousting Tournament is a live dispute by the Knights under the guidance of an actor called King Arthur. This can be seen at the Avalon Arena and it is the only full time dispute field in the UK. Merlin's Magic Show and School of Wizardry take place in the Merlin's castle. The former show exhibits a magical talent, while the latter educates you about how to do magic. ![]() For families and groups of any size, the Camelot theme park offers a myriad of thrilling activities other than rides.
